I help people understand how difficult experiences from childhood can affect the way they think, feel, and act as adults. I use proven therapy methods like trauma-informed therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness, to help clients heal from the pain, and learn healthy ways to cope with life. With compassion, I work alongside individuals addressing the unique challenges they face in a supportive, nonjudgemental, loving way.

Validation & Understanding

  • Help the person feel heard and understood.

  • This means listening to their story, recognizing their pain, fear, and confusion, and helping them see how past childhood trauma affects the way they think, feel, and act today.

Emotional Regulation

  • Learn healthy ways to handle strong emotions and stay calm when trauma brings up difficult feeling.

  • This means learning what situations or feelings set you off, practicing ways to relax, and becoming stronger so you can handle tough moments better.

Trauma Processing & Integration

  • Help people safely talk about and work through painful memories and feelings.

  • This may include using proven therapy methods, helping them change unhelpful thoughts, and finding ways to reduce the emotional pain caused by trauma.

Rebuilding Safety & Trust

  • Assist in rebuilding a sense of safety and trust in oneself and others.

  • This involves exploring and addressing any relational difficulties, establishing healthy boundaries, and gradually developing trust in the therapeutic relationship.

Self-Compassion & Self-Esteem

  • Help people be kinder to themselves and feel better about who they are. Cultivate self-compassion and enhance self-esteem

  • This means learning to let go of self-blame, shame, and negative thoughts connected to their past experiences.

  • Encourage self-care practices, positive affirmations, and promoting a sense of self-worth.

Resolving Negative Core Beliefs

  • Help people notice negative beliefs they formed because of childhood trauma and question whether those beliefs are true.

  • Work towards replacing them with more realistic and positive beliefs that support personal growth, resilience, and well-being.

Integration & Growth

  • Help people use what they have learned in therapy in their daily lives.

  • This means applying new skills at home, at work, and in relationships, building confidence, growing as a person, and feeling hopeful about the future.
